Forty Nine Degrees partnered with the University of North Carolina to elevate the fan experience within Carmichael Arena through a complete renovation of its main lobby. The refreshed space welcomes visitors with bold, clean overhead branding and immersive floor-to-ceiling graphics that celebrate the many athletic programs housed within the arena. From women’s basketball and volleyball to gymnastics, wrestling, fencing, and rowing, each sport is represented through vibrant visuals that capture the pride and tradition of Tar Heel Athletics.

The renovation transforms the entrance into a dynamic storytelling environment that highlights both team and individual achievements. Custom display cases and curated gear exhibits bring each program’s legacy to life, while the cohesive visual design ties them together under the iconic Carolina brand. The result is a modern, engaging lobby that honors UNC’s athletic excellence and sets the tone for every fan, athlete, and visitor who steps through its doors.
